The super helpful overlanding trio that is Julie, Marcus and Cuthbert got some flag stickers. When I say some, they got the full world and when I say helpful I mean Marcus does an awesome amount of research on the quality of diesel in his blog, how if affects Euro engines and they are both also active members of the Overlanding Association. Check their blog out here. I'm sure they will be using many more of the 190 or so flags of the world they got. Happy trails guys.
Another intrepid adventure starts and they got some stickers, to go! The first one is applied and of course its the UK departure point. So follow http://www.landyonthesilkroad.com who aren't actually driving a Land Rover but a Land Cruiser. They got a full set of Europe, Asia and Oceania stickers so looks like that's the plan! I really think a full set of world flag stickers would have been more of an adventure but i'm just trying to upsell. Happy Trails ! Hopefully we will see more country flags on the window soon. Good luck guys and thanks for buying from us. See you in Australia maybe.
The name of my overlanding truck which is covered in stickers is Henrietta. Named after a book my wife loves.
I sell stickers so i've gone a bit overboard, haven't I? There's also another reason though. As she was once an army ambulance some countries don't like the "army look" and especially the green. So we covered her in stickers to make her look less "menacing". You might notice the liberal use of country flag stickers from all the places we've been. So if you travel the world and need to look as silly as we do, for legitimate reasons of course, then you know where to get them. However you could apply them a little more tastefully than we have. There's a picture below of the old truck, Matilda. We only had them on the back door. An excellent talking point with the locals. Unfortunately they had faded a bit as they weren't as good as the ones i'm selling. Those were an African special...... So another couple of examples of what we have been doing. This time its some warning stickers for both LHD and RHD vehicles. I think you can work out what it means. As always let me know if this is something you'd want. The BIG stickers are 200mm.
If you don't know what this is, it's a pain in the backside is what it is. Trying to get the rankings up so the site shows in the search engines and its really hard. Everyone is of course trying to do the same and appear at number #1 in google. There's only ever a single number #1. If you know me from the overlanding blogs on my other site (www.overlandbirds.com) you will know I do lots of film titles as blog titles. Well this times its a dialog line from a film. Can you guess which....."there can be only one".....i'll give you a clue, the soundtrack is by Queen.
So if you have a blog of your own you can link this site and it might give me a boost in the rankings. I will of course do the same for you on my other blog and that ranks very high, usually number #1. I've been working hard on getting a good set of US State Flag Stickers and Canadian Provinces Flag Stickers produced. These are still draft and a bit more work to do with checking correctness and colour accuracy but they will be in the next print run. Same price for a 4 sheet set (USA) or a single sheet (Canada) as with the other Country Flag Sticker sets.
Another 30 sets arrived from the printers.....
